Tiana and Chimichanga in show cart

Crown Meadow Chimichanga

35" Black w/ Cross; Born May 8, 2003; Sire: Mini Pleasures Red Wrangler; Dam: Crown Meadow Alpha Bit; Chimi is one of the most personable guys on the property, second only to Cup a Joe. His start in life was a little shaky as he was his mama's first foal and she rejected him. His glucose levels became low and as fate would have it the vet didn't have any on the truck. He started having seizures and was rushed to OSU Vet Hospital. He rode on Peggy's lap and on the way he stopped breathing. Peggy handed him to the doctors with the plea to save him. They worked their magic and during his stay there won the hearts of all who encountered him. The students at the Hospital had a contest to name him and the name Chimichanga won out. When he returned home he had to be bucket fed until Peggy could convince Bitty to take him back. When I (Tiana) moved here I fell in love with the handsome guy and knew I had to have him. We have become partners and friends and, in 2006 we went into the show ring together as a first for both of us. What an experience it was. We were so proud of how he gave his all. He was Reserve Champion High Point Green in his first show, The Pacific Crest Classic. At the Northern California Miniature Donkey Show in Red Bluff he was Reserve Champion High Point Green and Reserve Champion Halter Gelding. Not bad for a green donkey with a green human! Not a day goes by that he doesn't call call to me whenever he sees me or hears my voice and will come running from pasture to come out and play. How lucky I am! (By Tiana McVay)

Crown Meadow Fonzie

34" Brown w/ full leg garters; Born April 21,2004; Sire: Mini Pleasures Red Wrangler; Dam: Crown Meadow Kayla; When Fonzie was born he looked at us with his big beautiful eyes and his hair was slicked back and we knew at once how cool this little guy was going to become.  He had to have a name that fit his slick look so it was eitherJimmy D or Fonzie and the Fonz won out. Fonzie is a fantastic gelding with a loving personality. He is eager to please once he understands your wishes. This last year was his first in the show ring and he gave us a look at his potential by taking first place out of 7 in his very first class, Pleasure Driving Working Single. He was consistantly in the top 4 of a class and only missed Reserve High Point Green by 2 points. He did go on to win Reserve High Point Performance in his 2nd show, the Oregon Mr. Longears Show at Roseburg. Who knows what his future will bring!

Double D No Dice

32 1/2" Black and White Spotted; Born February 26, 2004; Sire: Dewey Meadows Jackpot; Dam: Double D Tria Ahmo; Dicey is a little guy with a BIG heart and a BIG presence. He came into our lives when we brought him home to train for driving and showing. We fell in love with his charm, personality and heart. Never did we realize what an impact he would make. His real mom, Dolores, saw the connection and insisted we keep him. He has delighted us daily with his antics in the pasture as well as his presence in the show ring. Not a day goes by that he doesn't make me laugh and he is always there to wrap his head around me if I need a hug. I wouldn't trade that for anything! His first show of the 2008 season he made us all proud by giving his all and winning Reserve High Point Green . We look forward to Dicey being a part of our lives and we can't thank Dolores enough for entrusting him to us. He has become a special part of our lives that we wouldn't let go for the world! He is proving himself nicely in the show ring and I look forward to the years to come. Below is a taste of his accomplishments so far....
